Only a short drive away there's many places of interest - Te Moana Gorge for picnicing and swimming, Pleasant Point to see Thomas the Tank Engine, Timaru has Caroline Bay on a hot day and the Chipmunks on a wet day. There's the local Shearer's Quarters with gift shop and cafe.

If you enjoy fishing, then Geraldine is the ideal place to stay! Only minutes away you'll find local rivers providing great brown trout fishing.

If golf is more your thing, then make sure you bring your clubs. The "Denfield" course is only a 2 minute drive from here.

Central lakes and ski fields are one hour away.

The Geradine Promotions website has plenty of ideas, and the Vintage Machinery museum is well worth a look.
If you enjoy art galleries, then you MUST visit this one, in the main street of Geraldine.
